Room was lovely, it wasnt the most comfortable mattress was fairly firm and pillows were a little soft, be good if we were able to request firmer pillows like I've seen elsewhere. Service impeccable, everyone super friendly and felt like they cared. Noisy but we knew that its oxford and we were 1st floor main road, so it was understandable and didnt prevent us from enjoying our stay.

An absolutely fabulous hotel! From the free car parking in central Oxford; to the warm welcome at reception; to the lovely room; to the friendliness of every staff member; to the great bar; and super lunch - everything was fabulous! Highly recommend, and we will certainly be back. No reason to stay anywhere else in Oxford - this is superb.

If I could give Old Bank Hotel 6 stars, I would! Stayed there for one night with my sister in late December 2025. I booked this hotel mostly because it had parking with EV charging and it was in the center. Every single person from the staff was above and beyond! Even though we arrived way earlier than the check in time, they nicely gave us directions on how to enter the parking lot, had a spot reserved for us, kindly held our luggage and invited to their cozy library room (which had a stunning Christmas tree). They ended up checking us in earlier. The room was very spacious with a large window facing the parking lot. The bed, shower, bath supplies, coffee, fresh fruit, cookies - everything was so top-notch. The interior of the hotel itself was gallery like with nicely arranged photographs, visual art and sculpture. The stay at Old Bank Hotel was definitely a highlight!

This is easily the best hotel in Oxford and one of the best hotels I've stayed in Britain. I had a smaller room, but it was anything but claustrophobic. The design is excellent, a beautiful desk and chairs and tables--modern and tasteful. They keep everything impeccably clean. The art collection is stunning. The bath spacious, even in my room for one. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and charming. Coffee and tea are abundant. The lounging areas--a snook in the rear of the hotel--is a great place to prepare for the day. The food is excellent. The hotel sits on Oxford's High Street, right across from the towering All Souls College. Old Bank is a perfect hotel. I can't wait to stay there again.

My only disappointment is that we didn't stay longer... Everything about staying at the Old Bank Hotel was great. Parking - As driving within Oxford is limited, they provided excellent directions on how to arrive to their parking lot without entering the limited access area. Location - The location of the hotel is perfect - everything is within a short walk. You could not be more central, and yet it's peaceful and quiet. Staff - Everyone was outstanding and helpful! Room - Ahhh, the luxury! Comfortable bed, great linens, plush robes, luxurious amenities, delicious tea and cookies! Oxford is a beautiful place and staying at the Old Bank Hotel just made it that much more memorable.

Absolutely delightful stay with the old bank hotel. Retained the old english house vibe, with narrow passageways and an oldish lift. Room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast at the restaurant was tasty. They offer parking and is also located within short walking distance to shopping, dining and cathedrals.

A great location, well-placed in terms of central Oxford and its rich social and cultural offerings. The particular room that we booked had an added ‘special’ quality, situated on the second floor, overlooking the High Street with magnificent views of iconic Oxford, including the University Church and the Radcliffe Camera a little way down Catte Street opposite, leading to the Bodleian Library. The room itself was large, comfortable and elegantly curated, with a chaise longue and some original artwork that was better than the corporate offerings to be found in many 5* hotels today. But above all, despite overlooking the bustle of cyclists, pedestrians and the restricted traffic of the city centre it was quiet with excellent sound-proofing (and air-conditioning). The bathroom was first rate with a bath and rain shower, and high quality towels. The reception staff were excellent and helpful, and breakfast first rate for choice and quality. The restaurant was good, if a little unadventurous in menu choice, although there were possibilities of fish of the day and other choices on a changing blackboard. The cooking was accomplished despite the somewhat over reliance on the grill, pasta and pizzas. Nonetheless, the service is good and the food well-presented. The restaurant itself is pleasant and airy, but incredibly noisy if busy (all hard surfaces). But, in the end it is a restaurant of a type that one might find in good hotels in Manchester and other metropolitan centres with an affluent customer base.

We had a wonderful time at The Old Bank Hotel where we stayed in the Superior Balcony Room for 4 nights with lovely views of Oxford and free parking too. Housekeeping were fantastic and we always returned to a spotless room and a special thanks to them all for locating my forgotten documents in the safe there. The Reception Team were delightful and so helpful and a very special thanks to Adi and Kaz in particular for the speedy sorting and posting of my left behind documents. We also dined in The Quod restaurant on my Birthday and I had the sole from the specials menu which was superb. Virgilio, our waiter deserves special thanks also, he was fantastic; he was so attentive and super friendly and the perfect amount of being by our side when we needed him and leaving us in peace when we didn’t. Thank you to everybody who made our stay so special, we definitely recommend this lovely hotel in a perfect central location.
